On the run up to, and on St David’s day, saw the intrepid team from the Welsh Mustard Company at the Really Welsh Food Festival, in Queen Street, Cardiff. The event was sponsored by TESCO. Ten selected welsh producers were invited to meet the public, allowing them to taste and purchase their products.
Over the three days there were visitors from the media, Roy Noble and S4C camera crew along with celebrities, members from the cast of Pobol Cym.
Sales were brisk and it became evident that a new following was coming to light from the many purchases made by visitors from the U.S.A. and Canada. However, the largest single purchase was made by a young lady from Finland. Obviously some people like something hot over the cold dark days of winter.
The whole event was a very well organised and a credit to the Really Welsh Trading Company. The crowds flocked in and as a result there are now plans being made for a similar, if not larger event, next year to showcase even more welsh producers and products.
Hope that if it goes ahead we will see more of you there.

As demand increases we have now met with Tesco, Sainsbury’s and have had an enquiry from buyers at Morrisons Supermarkets. If all goes well you may soon see our Welsh Red Mustard and Welsh Mint Sauce on their shelves. Of course both products still continue to prove successful with customers at ASDA stores throughout Wales and over the borders.
